On the 100th anniversary of the death of William Booth, social reformer and co-founder of The Salvation Army, the church and charity commissioned a YouGov survey looking at whether social issues for families have changed from those identified by The Salvation Army a century ago.
A Salvation Army spokesperson said: "We welcome any initiative that helps prevent homelessness. Through our numerous churches and social centres we provide support for vulnerable people including young people and former offenders on a daily basis and we welcome the commitment to earlier support for those groups in the strategy.
