It has been 13 years since terrorists hijacked four US passenger planes and crashed them into the Twin Towers in New York and the Pentagon in Washington D.C – killing 3,000 people. The Salvation Army was the first relief agency to reach Ground Zero, reporting within a half-hour following the first plane crash at the World Trade Centre site, as John Berglund remembers.

In this week's Salvation Army News Buzz, we joined an interfaith vigil with the Archbishop of Canterbury and other religious leaders, our day centre in Blackpool presented clients with certificates as a recognition for their achievement and our media team's  'happy' is released to celebrate our 50,000 Likes on Facebook.
