Salvation Army International Development UK (SAID UK) is pleased to announce that London’s longest running ethical Christmas market is back.

On Saturday 12th December The Salvation Army’s church and community centre on Oxford Street will host our Fair Christmas Fayre, which will include more than 30 unique stalls selling a wide variety of Fairtrade, eco-friendly and upcycled gifts.

Acting Manager of SAID UK, Carl Jobson, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming Oxford Street’s Christmas shoppers to our Fayre this year. We’ve got everything you need, from unique stocking fillers to special gifts, and all with an ethical assurance.”

“At SAID UK we are working with people all around the world to tackle the poverty and injustice they are facing daily. The fayre is a great opportunity for people here in the UK to take action against injustice and inequality through our festive purchases.

Fair Christmas Fayre was founded by a member of The Salvation Army eight years ago to raise awareness of Fairtrade and ethical consumption. Now organised by SAID UK, the fayre is positioned on Europe’s busiest shopping street. The Salvation Army’s Oxford Street Oasis Bookshop and Café will also be open, serving barista coffee, light lunches and a tasty selection of cakes.
